I studied mainly on evenings and weekends. However, in the two and a half months I used to prepare for this test, I was able to work full time in a research lab (40 hours/ week). In fact, I wrote the MCAT after only oneyear of university classes. I had not yet taken many classes that would have been helpful such as genetics, cell biology, anatomy, and physiology. I missing important courses such as including organic chemistry and biochemistry. When I first started preparing for the MCAT, I had no clue what I was doing. In the next few minutes, I hope I can convince you that self studying for the MCAT is a viable way and successfully way to prepare for this test.
